When you subscribe to SESUN Discussion, mail delivery is enabled by default. If you are going away on vacation or business, please set your Mail Delivery option to Disabled.
- Digest Mode Option
When you subscribe to SESUN Discussion, digest mode is off by default, and you’ll receive individual list postings throughout the day. By turning on digest mode, you can receive all of the list postings for an entire day in a single email message. You can choose either of the following types of digests:
MIME — The MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) option supports Rich Text and HTML email messages. If you select this option, you’ll receive an email message containing a summary table of contents of each day’s postings, with the postings attached.
Plain Text — The Plain Text option does not support either Rich Text or HTML email messages. If you select this option, you’ll receive a daily email message that contains all of the day’s postings in plain text.
Note: Because SESUN Discussion allows Rich Text and HTML email messages, but the Plain Text option supports neither, Rich Text or HTML messages may not appear properly in a plain-text digest.
To set up digest mode:
- Under Set Digest Mode, click On.
- Under Get MIME or Plain Text Digests?, select either MIME or Plain Text.
- If you’ve finished changing your subscription options, click Submit My Changes.
Mailman, our mailing-list manager, allows only postings from subscribed email addresses. Therefore, if you want to post messages to SESUN Discussion from multiple email addresses, you must subscribe to SESUN Discussion from each of those addresses. See Subscribing to SESUN Discussion.
To prevent your receiving duplicate email messages at multiple addresses, you can disable mail delivery on all but one of your email addresses. For each email address at which you do not want to receive SESUN Discussion postings, follow these steps:
- Go to the Change Your Subscription page.
- Type a subscribed email address in the Email address box, then click Unsubscribe or Edit Options.
- On your Member Options page, type your password in the Password box, then click Log In.
- On your Membership Configuration page, under Your Discuss-sesun-usability.org Subscription Options, set your Mail Delivery option to Disabled.
- Click Submit My Changes.
Note: Be sure to log in using the email address at which you do not want to receive postings.
Important: Do not select Set globally.
